ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി എന്റെ ഉറക്കം കളഞ്ഞ ഒരു കൊച്ചുകണക്ക്
പ്രെമറി ക്ലാസില്‍ കണക്കുപഠിപ്പിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ഭാര്യയ്ക്ക് ഒരു സംശയം.ത്രികോണം ABC , ഇതില്‍ AC = 12 , BC = 5 .പിന്നെ കോണ്‍ A = 30 ഡിഗ്രി.
ത്രികോണം വരക്കാമോ?
ഒരു നിമിഷം പോലും ആലോചിക്കാതെ ഞാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. പറ്റില്ല.
മറുചോദ്യം വന്നു . എന്താപറ്റാത്തത്?
വരച്ചുനോക്കു. അപ്പോള്‍ അറിയാം . മറുപടി
വരച്ചുനോക്കാതെ പറയാന്‍ വല്ല മാര്‍ഗവും ഉണ്ടോ?
ഇന്നലെ തന്നെ ഉത്തരം കണ്ടെത്തി. പഠിപ്പിച്ചു കൊടുത്തു.

എന്റെ ഭാര്യ എന്നോട് ചോദിച്ചു, “ നിങ്ങള് കുറെ നേരമായല്ലോ വരക്കാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയിട്ട്, ആ സാറ് വരക്കാതെ തന്നെ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞല്ലോ"
ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു , " ആ സാറിന്റെ ഭാര്യയ്ക്കു ത്രികോണമിതി അറിയാം."
അതായത്,
ത്രികോണങ്ങളിലെ കോണുകളും വശങ്ങളും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റി പ്രതിപാദിക്കുന്ന ഗണിതശാസ്ത്രവിഭാഗമാണ് ത്രികോണമിതി(Trigonometry).
Sin A = എതിർ‌വശം / കർണ്ണം
Cos A = സമീപവശം / കർണ്ണം
Tan A = എതിർ‌വശം / സമീപവശം

SIN(0) = 0
SIN (30)= 1/2
SIN(45)= 1/√2
SIN(60)= √3/2
SIN(90) = 1


ഞാൻ ഭാര്യയോട് പറഞ്ഞു , " നിനക്ക് ത്രികോണമിതി പഠിക്കണമെങ്കിൽ മോന്റെ പുസ്തകം എടുത്തു നോക്ക്... അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വിക്കിയിൽ പോയി നോക്ക്....

ഓവര്‍ ലാപ്‌ (ത്രികോണവും ചതുര്ഭുജവും വരും) ചെയ്യുന്നതിന്റെ പരപ്പളവിന്റെ റേഞ്ച് ഏത്?

4 ഒരേ വലുപ്പമുള്ള സമചതുരം കിട്ടും .പരപ്പളവ്‌ 5*5=25.
4 സമപാർശ്വ ത്രികോണങ്ങള്‍ കിട്ടും.പരപ്പളവ്1/2(10*5)=25.
പിന്നീട് സാദ്ധ്യതകള്‍ അനന്തം ചതുര്‍ഭുജങ്ങളാണ്.ഏത് ചതുര്‍ ഭുജത്തെയും രണ്ടായി ഭാഗിച്ചു ഒരു കഷണം മറുഭാഗത്ത്‌ ചേര്‍ത്താല്‍ ഏപ്പോഴും കിട്ടുക സമചതുരമാണ് . പരപ്പളവ്‌ 25 തന്നെ .
